A veteran museum store professional for over 32 years, Stuart Hata is the Director of Retail Operations for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the de Young and Legion of Honor. Hata is responsible for driving an award-winning multi-million dollar museum retail business and oversees merchandising, store operations, warehousing, product development, retail marketing, licensing, wholesale, and the online FAMSF store (shop.famsf.org). Hata has presented numerous conference sessions on non-profit retail topics at the American Alliance of Museums, Museum Store Association, Association for Cultural Enterprises, UK, and the Museum Shops Association of Australia and New Zealand.
