Lara Anniboletti

Lara Anniboletti (Perugia, 1973) graduated (University of Perugia), specialized in Archaeology (University of Trieste) and wrote her PHD (University of Roma Tor Vergata) thesis on Pompeii.
She is the director of the National Archaeological Museum of Orvieto and the Etruscan Necropolis of the Crocifisso del Tufo (Mibact).
Since January 2008 she is also Promotion and Communication Officer for the MIBACT (Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities) at the National Gallery of Umbria in Perugia, and since March 2020 at the Regional Directorate of Museums of Umbria.
From February 2015 through January 2018 she has been Archaeologist and Head of Communication in the Special Technical Staff of the Archaeological Superintendency of Pompeii, set up by the Italian Government for the execution of the “Great Pompeii project”.
She has always been interested in the aspects of enhancement and communication of cultural heritage, and her slogan is “archeology is a science to be seasoned with humanity”.
