Chacho Herman

Chacho Herman is Associate Director of Earned Income at the San Diego Museum of Art.
He has been with the Museum since 1986 and is responsible for product selection, the design and development all custom goods, staff management, budgeting and financial management, inventory control, and store planning. While leading the museum’s retail operations, he has overseen the complete remodel of the main museum store, which led to an increase in sales, developed a robust online store presence, and built a second brick and mortar store within the museum’s campus. He was instrumental in bringing in, and currently oversees the museum’s incredibly popular restaurant, “Panama 66”.
He also oversees the Admissions Department and directed the design and development of the museum’s rotunda suite of admissions furniture leading to a more comfortable and streamlined visitor experience.
