Silvia has broad experience in art law and regularly assists banks, family offices, HNWIs and HNWFs manage important art collections, and assists cultural foundations and charities, archives, museums, modern and contemporary art galleries, art publishers, artists, designers and photographers in connection with the protection, circulation, management and valuation of artworks and art collections. A leading Italian cultural foundation entrusted Silvia to assist it set up a third generation digital museum in Venice, as did top leading international art galleries of the primary market and the Italian Association of Modern and Contemporary Galleries to identify the appropriate application of the resale right for the benefit of the author of an original work of art (droit de suite).
Silvia returned to the firm in 2016 after broadening her experience at a boutique firm. During her initial period at BonelliErede, she assisted foreign museums in connection with the return of cultural objects to Italy and leading fashion designers with sponsorship agreements for the restoration of Italian historical monuments.
Her passion for art also led Silvia to join the advisory board of the Chamber of Arbitration of Milan for the development of ADR Arte (mediation service in the art and cultural property sector) Silvia is also a member of PAIAM (Professional Advisors to the International Art Market, London) and ALAI (Association Littéraire et Artistique Internationale, Paris).
Silvia regularly holds lectures on the protection and valuation of family art collections at the Italian Family Officer Association (AIFO). She is also contract professor at Scuola del Patrimonio Culturale, Fondazione Scuola dei beni e delle attività culturali, Italian Ministry of Culture.
