
Simone Quilici
Architect and landscape architect, he was appointed Director of the Archaeological Park of the Ancient Appian Way following an international public selection.
Previously, he worked extensively on the recovery of cultural and historical-religious routes and itineraries at the Lazio Region. He has been a member of several inter-institutional working groups for the enhancement of the Via Francigena and the Appian Way.
Specializing in Landscape Architecture at the University of Rome “La Sapienza,” he obtained a PhD in Urban, Territorial and Environmental Design at the University of Florence, delving into the relationship between historic roads and landscape with particular attention to the territorial systems crossed by the Via Appia Antica.
Holder of the course in Management of Cultural Heritage at the American University of Rome, he is the author of numerous publications.
