Paolo Salonia, architect, former Director of the Institute for Applied Technologies for Cultural Heritage of the National Research Council, ITABC CNR, has been Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Cultural Heritage Sciences, ISPC – CNR since 2014.
From 2013 to 2022 elected member of the Governing Board of ICOMOS IT (Italian Committee of the International Council on Monuments and Sites) and since 2017 also on the Executive Committee. CNR representative in the Organization.
Currently coordinator of a number of Scientific Committees of ICOMOS and Scientific Officer representing him on the Stakeholder Board of the Technological District for Cultural Heritage and Activities (DTC) of the Lazio Region.
He is an Expert Member of CIPA – International Committee of Architectural Photogrammetry.
He is interested in methodologies and technologies for documenting the textural, morphometric consistency and state of preservation of artifacts of historical, artistic and cultural interest in the preservation process, including through the use of innovative ICT technologies in the management of the different stages of the process.
