Oriana Sartiani

Graduated in 1982 at the school of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure with specialization in the restoration of paintings on canvas and board, in 2007 she graduated in Technologies for the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the University of Viterbo. Since 1984 she has been a Restorer in the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, first at SABAP in Arezzo and since 1996 a Conservator Restorer Officer at the OPD in Florence. Technical director of the Paintings on Canvas and Panel Sector of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure.Deputy director of the School of Higher Education of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure.
Coordinator of PFP2 (Painted artifacts on wooden and textile support. Wood carved artifacts. Manufactured, assembled and/or painted artifacts in synthetic materials) of SAF-OPD.
Since 2016 she has been the technical director for the OPD of the site for the post-earthquake safety at the Santo Chiodo warehouse in Spoleto, Umbria.
From 2012 to 2015 Technical director for the OPD of the Shipyard for securing the works damaged by the earthquake of 2012 in Emilia-Romagna, at the Palazzo Ducale in Sassuolo.

Throughout his career, he has restored, among others, works by Mantegna, Caravaggio, Bronzino, Sebastiano del Piombo, Donatello, Burri, Kiefer, Van Dyck, Rubens, Raffaello, Domenico Veneziano.Director of Restoration of the Italian Auschwitz Memorial, now in Florence.He has published numerous publications on the restoration and security of cultural heritage.He has held numerous conferences and conferences at prestigious cultural institutions in Italy and abroad.
