Lucia Lojacono
Graduated in Modern Literature ind.historical-artistic and three-year specialization in medieval and modern art history at Catholic University of Milan.
From 1992 to 1996, he obtained assignments at Superintendencies of Cultural Heritage in Messina, Caltanissetta and Calabria as an art historian, cataloging historical-artistic heritage.
Since 1998 he has been in charge of the bbcc Offices of Calabrian dioceses for cataloging of historical-artistic goods (CEI-OA), serving, in different contexts, as cataloger, reviewer and scientific manager.
In 2006, he worked with theDirezione Regionale per i Beni e le Attività Culturali Calabria as a scientific consultant (art historian) for the layout of the Diocesan Museum of Reggio Calabria.
From 1997 to present, he is tutor Chair of History of Ancient Architecture, History of the City and Territory and Theory and History of Restorationpresso the Faculty of Architecture of Reggio Calabria; contract lecturer of Sacred Art at the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences of Reggio Calabria (Theological Faculty Southern Italy), Museology (L-ART/04) Degree Course Tourism Sciences University of Calabria Cosenza, Cultural Heritage and Historical-Artistic Heritage in Higher Education Courses and Master II level University for Foreigners Reggio Calabria.
From 2010 to the present, he is director of the Diocesan Museum of Reggio Calabria.
He has been a member of the AMEI Board of Directors since 2015, reappointed for 2020-2025 as AMEI Deputy Vice President.
Author of essays and articles, notably on sacred goldsmithing between the 16th and 19th centuries and Renaissance sculpture in Calabria (over thirty-five titles).
