Iñigo Dolagaray
Iñigo Dolagaray is a Spanish art historian with a solid background related to Spanish museums, culture, decorative arts and royal heritage.
He has 24 years of experience in museum stores, working for PALACIOS Y MUSEOS, a Spanish company dedicated to opening and managing museum and palace stores. He has developed cultural projects in Spain, France, Italy and Turkey. In his most recent role as Category Manager, he evaluated the design and craftsmanship to be sold in the different museum and palace stores managed by the company.
He is responsible for the integral management of each handcrafted product: initial design, location and selection of national and international suppliers in international and local showrooms and fairs, and the different steps for its availability in the store.
Previously he worked in the same company as Project Manager for the opening of more than 40 museum stores in Turkey, all over the country, in a partnership between PALACIOS Y MUSEOS and BILINTUR: Hagia Sophia Museum in Istanbul, Ephesus Museum, etc. Iñigo was also the Project Manager of PATRIMONIO NACIONAL (Spanish Heritage) for years to create the royal collection of historical reproductions for the “Reales Sitios de España” brand. Prior to this, Iñigo worked appraising, enhancing and selling engravings from the 16th to 19th centuries in his antiquarian engraving studio. Previously, he worked for a number of Spanish publishing houses, advising in the edition of a wide range of collections related to the classical arts and antiques. He has also worked for RADIO TELEVISION ESPAÑOLA, Spanish public television, as Historical Advisor for the production of several documentaries on the history and evolution of Universal International Expositions, research in several libraries and cultural institutions in Europe and the USA.
