Giovanna Cannata
Architect, he attended the Advanced Training Course for Diocesan Museum Managers “The Problems of Ecclesiastical Museums” organized by the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan in collaboration with AMEI (2004) and the Refresher Course for Diocesan Museum Managers “Diocesan Museums – Guidelines” organized by the National Office for Ecclesiastical Cultural Heritage of the CEI and AMEI (2012). She served as AMEI Sicily Regional Coordinator from 2010 to 2015, AMEI Vice President from 2015 to 2020, and is currently a member of the AMEI Board of Directors.
He designed the Catania Diocesan Museum (opened 2001), at which he works, and the Caltagirone Diocesan Museum.Responsible for the Catania Diocesan Museum for a European project on Intangible Heritage in partnership with Greece, France, Slovakia, Scotland (2012/2014).
Curator of the contemporary art exhibitions Nel Segno del Sacro and Ars Imago Mundi by master Oleg Supereko, Moscow-based artist and author of the frescoes in the dome and spandrels of the reconstructed cathedral of Noto.She has published in art catalogs and in national conference proceedings.
