Camille Morineau

Camille Morineau is the co-founder and director of AWARE (Archives of Women Artists, Research and Exhibitions), a French non-profit organisation dedicated to the creation, indexation and distribution of information on women artists of the 19th and 20th century. With degrees from both the École Normale Supérieure and the Institut du Patrimoine, she has worked for twenty years for French public institutions, including ten years at the Centre Georges Pompidou as curator of the contemporary collections. She has curated many exhibitions, among which elles@centrepompidou (2009-2011), the first of its kind, which presented a selection of works exclusively by women from the national museum of modern art’s collection.
