SMART TICKETING: INNOVATING THE VISITOR EXPERIENCE IN ITALIAN MUSEUMS

The Italian and international cultural scene has been registering a trend in recent years of moving in a digital direction. Growing, with strong evidence in the post-Covid period, is the number of institutions adopting digital solutions to meet the challenges of everyday life and frequent paradigm shifts.

Ticketing platforms, which have over time expanded their functions to support cultural institutions by efficiently responding to the needs of museums and monuments, exhibition organizers, and temporary event organizers, find their place in this context: from the ability to customize the platform, to ease of use during sales, to data analysis.

Still, the management of large flows of visitors, and efficiency in the management of spaces and entrances.
Also notable are the benefits in terms of accessibility and inclusiveness: the implementation of digital ticketing tools not only facilitates physical access, but also enables the overcoming of language and cognitive barriers.

The round table is organized by MidaTicket, which has been active in the information technology sector for more than 20 years, in collaboration with REAR. It sees the participation of three important Italian institutions: FAI – Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano; Museo Egizio di Torino; Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano.
