Matteo Tresso
Born (1984) and raised in Turin. He is head of sales for Artefatto, where he also manages the custom projects division. After graduating from the D.A.M.S. department (Drama, Art and Music Studies) of the University of Turin, with a specialization in Communication & Multimedia Studies, he pursued his artistic studies further, combining them with a marked entrepreneurial approach. He took part in the organization of his city’s major cultural events and started his own communication and musical events agency that operated throughout Italy from 2008 to 2015. In 2016 he joined Artefatto Sas, a museum merchandise company founded by his father, Pierfranco, and a partner, Pierre Marie Göel. He was in charge of the Artefatto Communication & Marketing department and supervised promotion activities for the museum stores run by the company (Museo Egizio di Torino, Musei Civici di Verona, Museo Lavazza Torino, Teatro Regio Shop Torino, Museo dell’Automobile di Torino), and the upgrading of its product catalogues. He later initiated the Custom Projects office, which, in 2017, led Artefatto to partner as official supplier and consultant to important brands and institutions, including Lavazza Spa and the Ferrovie dello Stato Foundation. Since 2019 he has been in charge of the Artefatto Sales Department, building up a carefully selected network of specialized Italian and international supplier partners, thereby enabling the company to expand its market. The company has achieved remarkable results both in the commercial and consulting areas and has positioned itself as one of the leading players in its business. In 2020, during the lockdown period related to the Covid-19 pandemic, he introduced projects designed to secure and relaunch the company’s activities and its in-house re-organization, all of which are critical both to preserve the expertise and value that the company has built up over time and to respond to future business challenges.
