Ilaria Menale is a public officer (archaeologist) of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Activities andTourism (MiBACT) – Direzione regionale Musei Campania (Regional Directorates of Museums)since 2018.She graduated in Etruscology with a score of 110/110 cum laude (Diploma in Litterae Humaniores and Classical Archaeology – Diploma di Laurea in lettere classiche con indirizzo archeologico), Università Federico II, Napoli, and a thesis on archaological finds of ancient Ceri (Mosconcino/Quartaccio area) and she published a paper entitled “Lo scavo in località Quartaccio di Ceri Rivisitato” in Annali della Fondazione per il Museo Claudio Faina 26 (2019); she attended the conference “Deliciae Fictiles V, Networks and Workshops. Architectural Terracottas and Decorative Roof Systems in Italy and Beyond”, P. Lulof, I. Manzini, C. Rescigno, with a poster entitled
“Lacunari fittili dal Mosconcino di Ceri – Cerveteri, Roma” and she took part in the Workshop sullo studio e l’interpretazione delle modanature architettoniche nell’Italia antica, Laura Ambrosini, Ingrid Edlund-Berry, Kristian Göransson – Istituto Svedese di Studi Classici a Roma – with a comunication entitled “L’altare a Ceri”. After the Degree at the Archaeological Specialization School (Università Vanvitelli), published a paper entitled “Textiles and rituals in Cumaean cremation burials” with Margarita Gleba and Carlo Rescigno in Origini 40 (2017). In the Regional Directorates she’s in charge of archaeological collections and museum storage (Museo archeologico dell’Agro Atellano, Succivo, and Museo storico archeologico di Nola) and she developed and takes care of Facebook and Twitter pages for several museums and she promotes educational activities in the virtual and real space of the museums. In 2019 Ilaria Menale start to work with the Exhibition and Loan Office and takes part in some important initiatives (I. In 2019 she partecipated in the publication “I tesori del Polo Museale della Campania” with two papers about Museo archeologico dell’Agro Atellano and Museo storico archeologico di Nola. In 2020 she was appointed director ad interim of the Museo archeologico nazionale di Eboli e della media valle del Sele and, in agreement with the Regional Directorates, she started networking and collaboration activities with local authorities and stakeholders.
