| The Vision publishing house has been publishing popular science travel guides on the main archaeological sites in Italy and the Mediterranean since 1959. Thanks to a special patented method, called the “Vision method,” ancient monuments are reconstructed using transparent pvc sheets that overlap and integrate photographic images of the monuments in their current state, giving the reader the feeling of really stepping into an era long gone, with an immediate comparison between past and present. The series designed for younger readers, VisionKids and The Box of Rome, tell the story of Ancient Rome in an original and entertaining way. From the collaboration with RS Life360 came “Coffee with a View,” innovative coffee sets on which 360-degree panoramic images of Rome’s most beautiful monuments can be admired through an evocative optical illusion. The image, printed in a deliberately distorted way on the saucer, is recreated on the mirror surface of the cup the moment it is placed in the center of the saucer itself. |
