Vincenzo Bellelli

Vincenzo Bellelli is an archaeologist specialized in Etruscan civilization. He graduated in Naples in 1991 and received his Ph.D. in Archaeology (Etruscology) at University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1997. In 2001 he obtained a permanent situation as researcher in the CNR. He became Research Director at CNR-ISPC in 2020. From 2004 to 2015 he also taught Etruscology and Italic Civilizations at the Universities of Palermo and Naples/L’Orientale. He was made full-member of the Istituto nazionale di Studi Etruschi e Italici of Florence in 2018. He is editor-in-chief of the scientific journal “Mediterranea. Studi e ricerche sul Mediterraneo antico”. He is the author of numerous articles and books on Etruscan civilization. He is Director of the Parco archaeologico di Cerveteri e Tarquinia.
