Valeria Arnaldi
Graduated in Political Science, she is a professional journalist and writer. She curates contemporary art exhibitions in Italy and abroad: she collaborated with the European Commission, UNAR-Presidency of the Council, Lazio Region, Province of Rome, Rome Capital. He conceived and curated Once Upon a Time… the first Family Artentainment festival in Roma Capitale. He has written and directed plays and short films. He has directed multiple editorial series. He edited the series of volumes Shibuya, dedicated to Japanese animation. Among his most recent books, Bodies and souls – Nude and eroticism in Japanese animation, Manga Art – Journey into contemporary hyper-pop, Lady Oscar – The revolutionary heroine of RiyokoIkeda, In grace and beauty – The evolution of women according to Disney, Mickey Mouse – Myth and icon of the cult character of Walt Disney. To the universe of HayaoMiyazaki, he dedicated the essays HayaoMiyazaki – An Enchanted World, Howl’s Wandering Castle – Magic, Mystery and Beauty in the cult film of HayaoMiyazaki, My Neighbor Totoro – HayaoMiyazaki’s icon film.
