Sven Walther
As the National Archives Foundation’s Director of Retail Operations, Sven Walther oversees the National Archives Store’s inventory and procurement management, day-to-day operations of the back-of-house team in fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and the replenishment of goods for the brick-and-mortar store.
He has a background in wholesales and logistics with Volkswagen’s wholesale division OTLG for spare parts and supplies in Germany, as well as expertise in IT support gained during his tenure in their IT department.
These skills enable Sven to make informed purchasing and planning decisions, and manage the National Archives Store’s IT systems.
Sven is in charge of the online store NationalArchivesStore.org and its digital product ads on Google, Meta, and other platforms.
Raised in Germany, Sven enjoys the challenge of learning all about U.S. history, and developing products that help to advance the National Archives Foundation’s mission by inspiring a deeper appreciation of our country’s heritage and encouraging citizen engagement in our democracy by introducing America’s records to people around the U.S. and the world.
