Roberto Rocca
Graduate in Law at Sapienza University in 1980, Lawyer from 1981, official of the ex Ministry for Tourism since 1982, from 1993 Director of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department of Tourism, from 2001 Deputy of the General Director of Tourism of the Ministry of Industry, in 2006 Coordinator of the Department for Development and Competitivity of Tourism of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, from 2008 to 2014 Director General for Tourism of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, from 2014 until today General Executive of the MIBACT of staff to the Secretary-General with responsabilities on Tourism and on programming and managing European Funds for Tourism.
In particular Roberto Rocca has continuously rappresented Italy from 2001 to 2014 in the Executive Council of UNWTO (World Agency of tourism in the United Nations) in Madrid, in the bureau of Committee for Tourism of OCSE in Paris and in TAC (Tourism advisory committee) of the European Commission in Bruxelles. In 2013 he also covered, for Italy, the role of Vice-president and later President of the ETC (European Travel Commission), institution for Tourism promotion for the European Commission with the responsibility of promoting Europe to the world.
