René Capovin is director of the musil – museum of industry and labor in Brescia. He is a member of EMA – European Museum Academy and the creator of Museums in Short, an international competition for videos made by or for museums. He has been teaching museology and cultural heritage at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts since 2020. He has published articles in Italian and foreign journals, mainly dealing with cultural and political issues. Recent publications include “Who Knows? Science and Intellectuals at the Test of Covid-19,” in Journal of Contemporary Anthropology, 2021; “Questions of Space. Olivetti through Sloterdijk,” in Ungrateful Guest. Humanism and technology. The Olivetti laboratory, Quodlibet, 2021, pp. 39-46. Between 1999 and 2003, he directed a reception center for asylum seekers and refugees.
