Pianezza Oriano
With a strong clinical background, Oriano Pianezza has devoted many years to social work, working directly with children and families and addressing mental distress. At this stage, he has complemented field work with strategic pursuit of European and ministerial funding to strengthen municipal services for the protection and promotion of human rights.
After a period focused on planning and EU funds, he directed his experience toward Fundraising from donors, contributors and sponsors.
It managed two crucial moments for the city: the fundraising after the Morandi Bridge collapse (2018), a period of great generosity that enabled the realization of important social, educational and cultural projects; and the COVID-19 emergency, where sponsors’ contributions proved vital to the survival of Genoa’s major cultural institutions.
Oriano Pianezza has been given responsibility for fundraising from 2021 at the Office of Corporate Relations and Fundraising, established in the Cabinet of the Mayor of the City of Genoa.
