Marina Lo Blundo

Officer archaeologist of the Archaeological Park of Ostia Antica

Marina Lo Blundo is an archaeological officer at the Archaeological Park of Ancient Ostia, where she holds the positions of head of the Photographic Archive, scientific manager of the Archaeological Area of the Imperial Ports of Claudius and Trajan, and head of the Communications Office. He is also the site contact person for the European Heritage Label awarded by the European Commission to the Archaeological Area of Ancient Ostia and oversees related public archaeology projects.
The prevailing research interest is in the communication of archaeology. In this field he has participated and participates in conferences and symposia, has given lectures and webinars in a number of Italian universities, and has published several contributions, always on the topic of communicating archaeology in Web 2.0 and social media, participating and contributing to building the debate around these issues since the development of the first social platforms and following their constant development and adaptation in terms of languages, modalities, and techniques.
