Maria Vittoria Marini Clarelli

Superintendent of Cultural Heritage of the municipality of Romesince 2019, shegraduated with a specialization in art historyat the Università di Roma La Sapienza. Shebeganher career in 1981 at the current Ministry of Culture where she was involved, among other things, with the international circulation of cultural goods and relations with the European Union. From 2004 to 2014 she was Super intendent of the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome. Between 2015 and 2017 shedirected the Studies Office within the Directorate General for Education and Research of the Ministry of Culture and between 2017 and February 2019 shedirected the internationaltraffic service within the Directorate General for Archeology, Fine Arts and Landscape. Shehasbeen an adjunct professor of museologyat the Faculty of Architecture of La Sapienza University of Rome, and at a master in museumcommunicationat the University of Tor Vergata and iscurrentlycarrying out a course in museologyat the Pontifical Gregorian University. Shehasbeen a consultant for contemporary art to the European Investment Bank and hasbeen a member of the Strategic Orientation Council of the GrandPalais in Paris since 2011.
