Maggie Chapper, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, serves as Director of Retail Services at the National WWII Museum. Maggie has two decades of retail experience, including roles in such well-known establishments as Banana Republic, Pottery Barn, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
For the past decade, she has been an invaluable resource for the museum, now overseeing a multimillion-dollar operation that includes four unique on-site stores, a webstore, and a growing wholesale business. Through her work as director, Maggie finds true joy in telling the story of World War II by creating and developing carefully curated products and collections for stores. She takes pride in providing museum visitors with a lasting memory through the retail experience. Maggie is also a proud member of the Museum Store Association, serving as a member of the Educational Advisory Group. When she is not working, Maggie enjoys old black-and-white movies and sweets for her friends and family.
