Ione Saroyan

Ione Saroyan is Director of Merchandise Operations at the New-York Historical. He oversees all strategic and operational aspects related to the museum’s retail, wholesale, and online store operations. He is responsible for budget planning, inventory management, purchasing, visual merchandising, product development, licensing and partnerships, marketing, customer service, store policies and procedures, staff recruitment and training, and POS system selection, implementation and maintenance.

Ione has been a member of the Museum Store Association (MSA) for more than two decades. She served on the association’s Board of Directors from 2015 to 2019, serving as Board Chair in the 2018-2019 biennium. She still continues to volunteer on several Council committees, including the Education Advisory Group (EAG) and the Finance and Marketing committees.
