Giuseppe Pastorelli
Giuseppe Pastorelli is an Italian career diplomat. After graduating in law at “La Sapienza” University in Rome, he joined the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997. From 2000 to 2004, he served at the Italian Embassy in Ankara, while from 2004 to 2008 he was posted at the Italian Embassy in Budapest. Between 2008 and 2010 he was the head of the Eastern Africa Office at the Ministry. He later served as Italian Consul General in Boston, from 2010 to 2014, and in Toronto, from 2014 to 2018. He is currently at the MFA’s Directorate General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation, where he is the head of the cultural promotion office, which oversees Italy’s cultural promotion abroad and the network of the Italian Cultural Institutes.
