Francesca Rossi
Francesca Rossi, art historian, former athlete of the Italian National River Kayak Team, a graduate of Padua University and a specialist at the Cattolica University in Milan, is Director of the Civic Museums of Verona, an integrated museum system comprising the Arena Amphitheater, Juliet’s House, the Museum of Castelvecchio, the Archaeological Museum at the Roman Theater, the Civic Museum of Natural History, the G. B. Cavalcaselle Fresco Museum, the Maffeiano Lapidary Museum and the Achille Forti Gallery of Modern Art. Author of numerous scholarly publications and curator of exhibitions, including one for the centenary of Umberto Boccioni at Palazzo Reale in Milan and at MART in Rovereto in 2016 and various exhibitions for the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri’s death. From 2010 to January 2018, she was in charge of the Civic Cabinet of Drawings of the Castello Sforzesco in Milan. Previously, she was a longtime conservator at the Castelvecchio Museum and the collections of the art and monument museums of the City of Verona.
