SANTAGATA FOUNDATION AWARD CEREMONY FOR UNESCO TERRITORIES 2023 in collaboration with Santagata Foundation for the Economy of Culture and the National Commission for UNESCO
Confirmed the fourth edition of the “Santagata Foundation for UNESCO Territories” AWARD, aimed at sustainable development projects implemented between 2022 and 2023, and awarded by a scientific committee coordinated by the Santagata Foundation for the Economy of Culture.
THE OBJECTIVE OF THE AWARD (one National and one International) is to provide visibility and recognition to a sustainable development project, in line with the United Nations Agenda 2030 Goals, implemented or initiated within a UNESCO-designated territory or community within the national territory.
The award will be given by RO.ME in collaboration with the Santagata Foundation for the Economy of Culture, to referents of projects carried out in territories or communities located in Italy, included in one of the five UNESCO designations:
WORLD HERITAGE
INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE
CREATIVE CITIES.
BIOSPHERE RESERVES
GEOPARKS
The winner of the 2023 edition of the award is the City of Bologna with the Night Plan project, which aims to be an innovative policy that can address the management of the city’s nightlife by considering its multiple aspects-cultural, social, economic, livability and safety-with the goal of finding a fair balance between the interests and rights of all and sundry. Giorgia Boldrini, Director Culture and Creativity Division, will collect the award.
The International Award will be awarded to Sebla KUT e Cem Deniz KUT, Komet Culture and Art Projects Ltd for the Museum Kit Project which involves cooperation with the Ministry of National Education and the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism with the aim of strengthening the relationship that visitors of all ages have with museums and heritage sites.
