CULTURAL ECOSYSTEMS: BETWEEN FRUITION AND SHARING

Session III – Dialoguing Ecosystems.

The relationship between cultural institutions, the local area and audiences is constantly changing, and current demands pose constant challenges on how to display and communicate.

We can imagine cultural institutions as dialoguing ecosystems, as dynamic archipelagos of social relations, which constitute aggregating poles for communities and play an increasingly active role not only in enhancing the assets they guard but also the territory they inhabit.

The conference provides a forum for different cultural institutions to reflect on the role of galleries, archaeological parks and art galleries in building territorial identity, and the soft skills that cultural professionals need to develop to enhance the social value of culture.

Speakers:

Martina Bagnoli, Director of the Estensi Galleries – President of the Europeana Foundation.

Marco Pierini, director of the National Gallery of Umbria in Perugia.

Enrico Rinaldi, director of the Sepino Archaeological Park.

Alex Hémery, Director of the National Art Gallery of Siena.

Martina De Luca, Training Manager – Foundation School of Cultural Heritage and Activities.

Moderator: Claudio Bocci, President of the Travel Culture Association

The panel will be held on Thursday 17 from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m., at the Macchia Room.
