ENGAGING THE PUBLIC IN A HISTORY MUSEUM BEFORE THE VISIT

Sponsored and organized by Ask Mona

To address the need to automate the information communicated to visitors, the Cluny Museum team decided to turn to Ask Mona. Team members also wanted to offer visitors content that reflected the museum’s image in order to maintain and develop an authentic connection with them.

Since coming online, Adam, the chatbot of the Cluny Museum, has adapted to the changes and exceptional conditions of the museum, which has been closed for several months for renovations. Also capable of answering visitors’ practical questions, it is regularly updated with fun content highlighting the museum’s collections: games, quizzes, and mediation scenarios. The average conversation time shows that users’ questions are targeted and answered with appropriate content.

The lecture will present, through the experience of the Cluny Museum, the chatbot technology in its function and application.

Speakers:

  • Aline Damoiseau, Communication Manager of the Musée de Cluny – video contribution-.
  • Luisa Le Maignan, Ask Mona development manager.

The panel will be held on Friday, November 18, from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. in Room 2.
