Stefano Benedetto
Direttore dell'Archivio di Stato di Torino e, ad interim, dirigente della Soprintendenza archivistica e bibliografica del Piemonte e della Valle d'Aosta
Born in Turin in 1960. After his medievistic studies and the Diploma in Paleography and Diplomatic Archives, he devoted himself to consulting in the management of archives, libraries and documentation centres. Since 1995 he has worked at the City of Turin, where he directs first the Historical Archives and then also the museum and librarian services and finally the Culture Area. Since December 2019 he has been director of the State Archives of Turin and since May 2020 he has also been appointed interim director of the Archival and Bibliographical Superintendence of Piedmont and Aosta Valley. He has taught Special Archives at the University of Turin, where he is currently in charge of teaching Computer Archival Studies.
