Considered one of the pioneers of gamification, he was awarded the “Design Lessons” prize during the Milan Fuorisalone in 2018.
Author of books such as “Gamification – Video Games in Everyday Life” (2011), “L’Arte delCoinvolgimento” (Hoepli 2017), “Giocare – Gaming and Gamification in professional contexts” (Hogrefe2021) is currently a contract professor for several Italian universities and academies.
In 2016 he founded the international collective of artists TuoMuseo specialized in the intersection tragaming and cultural heritage. Over the years he has signed productions such as “Father and Son” for the National Museum of Naples with 5 million downloads, “A Life in Music” first video game almondo produced by the Teatro Regio of Parma, “Past for Future” for the Marta of Taranto and “The MediciGame” for the Uffizi Galleries. He developed the first Italian playful infrastructure plan of a city, the European project PlayAlghero. He is currently curator for the Reggia di Venaria with PLAY, the first great introspective on the video game as an art open until 15 January 2023.
