DESIGNING MUSEUM AND EXHIBITION SPACES

Session III – Presentation of Selected Projects from the Call for Proposals

The third session, dedicated to the theme Designing Museum and Exhibition Spaces, will feature the presentation of projects selected within the framework of the Call for Proposals promoted by RO.ME – Museum Exhibition. The initiative aims to highlight what it means today to design a museum or exhibition display, within a context of continuous evolution in the relationship between institutions, audiences, and territories.

The call invited companies and professionals to share innovative experiences and solutions—either already completed or currently in progress—capable of interpreting with sensitivity and awareness the challenges of the sector.
At the core of the discussion are:

  • the coherent and sustainable use of technologies in relation to the spaces and narratives they are meant to support;
  • the historical and architectural understanding of the environments that host the exhibitions;
  • the need for constant and productive dialogue among architects, museologists, designers, communicators, and developers of technological solutions;
  • and the importance of assessing projects also in terms of their medium- and long-term economic and managerial sustainability.

During the meeting, the selected projects will be presented directly by their proponents, offering an opportunity for discussion and in-depth analysis of the practices and visions shaping contemporary museum and exhibition design.

Speakers:

  • Andrea Cavalensi, Stride
  • Salif Omar Faye, Stride
  • Sara Palumbo, Studiomartino.5 Srl

The session is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12, from 5:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., at Sala MiC.
