Associate Director of Exhibits Registration and International Projects, Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service
Christina Schwartz has worked for the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) since 2001. In addition to overseeing the Registrar’s department, she is responsible for reviewing all exhibition proposals submitted to SITES, and is currently exploring international opportunities for the program. Christina holds Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Art History from George Washington University. Her employment experience includes positions as Curatorial Assistant of Photography at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC; Collections Manager for the Robert Hull Fleming Museum at the University of Vermont, Burlington, VT; Registrar for Exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, NY, NY; and Registrar for Exhibitions and International Loans at the Brooklyn Museum, NY, NY.
