Co-Founder of pArt (www.thisispart.com) the first Italian platform dedicated to online cultural patronage that allows everyone to restore a work of art with a few clicks. Currently he also manages his agricultural/farming company and his family’s real estate company. Since February 2018 he is moreover Honorary Consul of Georgia in Milan, he has consular competence in the regions of Lombardy, Lazio, Tuscany, Piedmont, Marche, Veneto and the city of Bologna.
Born in Rome in 1981 – his father is Italian, his mother is Georgian. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. With a passion for his mother’s country of origin, Lelio Orsini has always used his soft diplomacy skills for Georgia, both as a cultural and humanitarian level. He is the president of the Italo-Georgian association “Scudo di San Giorgio,” which was founded in 1991 and has promoted several initiatives in the cultural and charity fields. In the past, Lelio Orsini has been chosen by the Georgian government to be part of several official delegations to the Vatican City State and the Holy See. In January 2014, Lelio Orsini was decorated with the Italian Red Cross Gold Medal by Francesco Rocca, current President of the Italian Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. The Medal was awarded because of the role Orsini played in bringing humanitarian aid in Georgia during the 2008 conflict. Lelio Orsini is currently the Delegate for Rome and Latium of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George, an Equestrian Order recognized by the Italian Republic which holds consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (UN-ECOSOC) since August 2011.
